God's Devine Appointments

So let me share a story with you real quick... Last night I was working up at the Coffee Shop, and as I was closing this lady runs in and is having a problem with her nose ring (I know that was odd that she would come to a coffee shop for help) anyways, she saw that I had one and asked if I could help her. She was having some trouble putting it in. Well she finally got it in with me cheering on the side lines. Well then we started talking and she told me the spiritual significance of the ring for her. When she was young she lived in India, her parents are missionaries, and she always wanted one but her parents wouldn’t let her. As she got older and never seemed like a good time, she was once engaged and thought about getting one as an engagement ring, but they broke it off. Let me just say as a side note that I never thought so deeply when I got my nose ring, I just thought I like and got it. Ok let me continue, so the she quote scripture to me about what the Bible says about jewelry and piercings all together, "All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the LORD." Exoduses 35:22, and a couple others. She felt like it was time and she wasn’t doing it for anyone but God, she decided to do it as a symbol of her sabbatical from dating, I thought to myself interesting. Ok so here is the part where God answered prayers and continues to be so faithful, I was running yesterday and it was my long run, I got really frustrated though because I am nor familiar with the area I live in it’s in a big city and I never know if I am in a good or bad neighborhood, my running area is limited. As I was running I was so wanting to be home in California cause I know all the trails there, not to mention that this past time that I went home it was like a knife in the heart to leave...that’s a whole new story....anyways so we chatted she told me how she is in this running club and they all run together, the hours are so fitting to my schedule, but it cost a pretty penny. I have no doubt that the Lord will provide. So now were running buds.. So the moral of the story is that sometimes, through nose ring pains, good can come out. God works all things together for his good!
